This is not a social pitch
Melbay does not run a locker-room gossip network. There is no public stand, no follower graph, and no hallway where strangers trade files. You do not send other people your data. Other people do not send you theirs. The app is a one-seat booth: you, the match, and a short question.
We wrote this page the way we built the product — short, dark, and without a dossier. If a line is not listed here, assume we are not collecting it.
What actually leaves the booth
When you type into Smart Match Chat, the only payload we forward is the text of that message. Not your legal name. Not an email. Not a phone number. Not a photo. Not a home address. The sentence you typed — that is the parcel.
That sentence is handed to a third-party language service so a reply can be generated. We do not staple a personal file to the prompt. We do not ask the model for a profile of you. You send words about sport. You get words about sport.
Third-party services on the bench
These names sit outside our locker. They are tools, not a reason to vacuum your life. Each is a third-party service with its own notice. Their document governs what they do with what they receive.
- Firebase — app infrastructure: so the build can stand up, stay signed to a device context, and keep the lights on.
- Singular — attribution and campaign measurement. It watches whether an install came from a poster, not whether you prefer midfielders.
- OneSignal — push delivery. A ping can find a phone. It does not need your biography to do that.
- OpenAI — text generation. The service sees the message you typed and produces an answer. It is not given a packet of personal identity alongside that line.
If one of those benches publishes a stricter or broader rule than this page, their rule covers their processing. We do not hide them behind a generic “analytics partners” fog.
The one number we may keep
The most we hold for ourselves is a unique technical identifier. That ID exists so the app can recognise a device for measurement and so a push can land on the right handset. It is not your civil name. It is not a form you fill. It is a ticket stub, not a passport.
We do not sell lists. We do not build a public feed of your chats. Saved Chat History is a convenience for you inside the booth — a rail of your own nights — not a marketplace of personal records and not a pipe between users.
What we do not do
- We do not ask users to pass personal data to each other. There is no user-to-user channel.
- We do not harvest contacts, photos, or a precise home pin as a condition of asking “who scored?”
- We do not treat a chat about tennis as a licence to assemble a marketing portrait of you.
If you want the door
Uninstall the app and the booth on that device goes dark. For a push token or a tracking stub that still sits with a third-party service, write the desk below and we will point the request at the right bench.
